Question to consider when deciding to home educate

Do you have the resources to provide suitable education for your child?

Are you able to provide an appropriate learning environment?

Are you able to absorb the financial impact of home educating?

Are you able to dedicate the time to home education?

Is it the right thing for your child?

The views of your child

It is important that your child’s views are taken into account when choosing to home educate. When considering their opinion you should take into account their age and level of maturity. As a parent this does not take away from your decision make, it does though ensure that your child is happy to be educated at home. Throughout these lessons, ’parents’ should be taken to include all those with parental responsibility, including guardians and carers.
